Led the team of 6 graduate and 4 undergraduate students to improve storage systems performance, analyzed 1TB of workload data, improved up to 3 times by using heuristics we developed (Python, C++)
Analyzed 30 million hospital records to classify presence of diagnosis in the record based on co-occurrence, using modified pagerank to find relevant diagnosis and procedures and logistic regression for classification, getting comparable results to the classification accuracy when doctors notes are used (Scikit-learn)
Analyzed data from 200,000 MMORPG gamers to improve churn prediction, lowering RMS error 20% when using continuous CRF instead of multiple linear regression (Matlab)
Published 16 research papers and one book chapter, participated in writing DARPA, NSF, NIH grant proposals and reviewer on multiple conferences and journals
